Set against the backdrop of pre‑integration America, these elders open the doors to their pasts, sharing the struggles, triumphs, heartbreaks, and defining moments that shaped them through the forties, fifties, and sixties.&nbsp; Some memories carry regret, others carry laughter, but all carry the weight of lived experience. As they journey toward the year 2000, each character finds themselves confronting old wounds, rediscovering joy, and ultimately embracing peace.
