SingSong Music Class for Kids&nbsp; Ages: &nbsp;nearly 1 to 4 Instructor: &nbsp;Amy Bess Puryear SingSong Music Class is a fun-filled multicultural class for little ones and parents/caregivers to enjoy music together in a circle setting. There will be plenty of singing, moving our bodies, learning rhythms, clapping our hands, stomping our feet, dancing, laughing, loving and having so much fun together! We will sing songs from near &amp; far, from many cultures, some familiar and many brand new songs. We will sing in several languages and learn some American Sign Language too. For children ages (about) 1 to 4 years. About the Instructor: Amy Bess Puryear is a music teacher to little ones, a singer, a songwriter, a macrame artist, a gardener, an activist, a community organizer and a baseball mama too! She grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Ithaca in 1992 to attend IC as a Vocal Music Education major. She began creating SingSong Music Classes, her unique multicultural music program for young children, shortly after graduating in 1996 and has been teaching ever since. Her love of music, travel, education and culture grew as she spent many winters volunteering in the Guatemalan highlands as a music teacher to elementary school children abroad, while also becoming a prominent singer / songwriter within the musical community of Ithaca and Trumansburg, which she has called home ever since.
