Summer Flight: July 21-July 25, 9am - 1pm<br />Summer Flight is open to all incoming 9th graders. Summer Flight provides one week of high school readiness training in English, Math and Science. Students will work with SJND teachers to practice essential study skills, be introduced to school culture, and learn the layout of the school. As a result of Summer Flight, incoming 9th graders will feel more prepared and confident for the start of High School!
Accelerated Honors Geometry: 6/11 - 7/24<br />Students who meet the requirements may take this course to earn credit for Geometry. <br />Refund Policy: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required upon registration. The remaining amount is due by the first day of classes. Cancellations can only be made within the first two weeks of the summer remediation program for a full refund. Cancellations made after the first two weeks are non-refundable. Cancellations will only be granted upon proof of enrollment in the same course at an approved institution.
English 9 Remediation<br />For students who did not pass one semester of English 9, either semester. <br /><br />Remediation: Students who earned D, F, or Incomplete grades in either semester of the the previous school year may be required to remediate those grades in order to move to the next course in the sequence, receive graduation units, and/or remain eligible for college admissions. SJND offers summer remediation on-campus through both in-person classes and online course providers in a supervised learning environment. Students have the option to work with academic content tutors and receive personalized attention and course management from the Summer Academics Coordinator and staff. Students who need to remediate more than one course may do so concurrently. BYU Online Remedial Coursework <br />
All other courses will be completed through an online BYU course. These courses are self-paced and students will work on them independently at school under the supervision of an academic coach who is also there to help students understand content and complete assignments.
