About Beyond GoodBeyond Good is a Brooklyn-based chocolate and vanilla company established in 2008 by two Peace Corps volunteers who served in Madagascar. The company sells a range of single-origin chocolate bars and vanilla products, sourced from Madagascar and Uganda. Beyond Good is the only U.S. chocolate company producing the finished product at origin in Madagascar. The Beyond Good direct trade model aims to completely prevent human exploitation, deforestation, and pesticide use, while ensuring farmers are paid three to five times fair trade premiums. Beyond Good cocoa forests protect more than 85 species of wildlife, including vulnerable and endangered lemurs.
