On 10/17/2025 a humble flag was raised over the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor, HI. Thus began a remarkable journey spearheaded by the National Flag Foundation in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States called Sojourn 250. In the following 260 days that flag was flown over every US State, Territory, and foreign soil American Cemetery. &nbsp;On July 4, 2026, approximately 200 American Legion Riders had the honor of escorting that same flag on the final leg of it&#39;s journey, Pittsburgh PA to Washington DC. At the check-in for the ride, Jason Wright from American Legion Post 31 in Shinnston, WV had an idea to commentate this historic event. He had as many riders in attendance as possible sign an America 250 flag to raffle for charity. This is your chance to own a piece of this historic escort. Along with the signed America 250 flag, the winner will also get a 3x5 polyester American flag that was present on the escort with the signed flag. West Virginia American Legion Posts Shinnston 31 and Jackson-Perks 71 have collaborated to put this raffle on. The proceeds from raffle and any associated donation to Jackson-Perks Post 71 will be going to the American Legion Veterans and Children foundation.
