We invite you to support Solidarity with the Northside!, a benefit on Wednesday, July 9th at Work &amp; Leisure to raise urgently needed funds for Black community &nbsp;programs of self-determination and economic development in North St. Louis.&nbsp; This is especially critical in the aftermath of a devastating tornado that destroyed thousands of homes in the Black working-class community.&nbsp; This benefit is raising funds for the Black Power Blueprint, a unique and multi-faceted community-based development initiative, which has been working for years to build political and economic power in the northside of St. Louis, one of the most economically depressed areas in the country due to generations of government policy such as &ldquo;benign neglect,&rdquo; red-lining and gentrification.
