We created this program to bring the rescue horses and Veterans together to help each other.  We also use some of the rescues to visit our local skilled nursing facilities.       We currently have 16 horses at the rescue, of which 12 need to be sent to the trainers. Six of the 12 horses are not gentle or fully gentle, which will require longer training times. Training also benefits the community through our two programs: Horses & Heros, an equine-assisted activities program for veterans, and Healing Hooves, where we take horses to skilled nursing facilities.     We are reaching out to our community to help support our rescue so we can continue to save, shelter, rehabilitate, and provide services to our community.  Our second annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held on February 23rd from 11 am to 4 pm at the Limestone Fire Hall.
