The evening will feature Jennifer Chac&oacute;n, Professor of Law and Associate Dean at Stanford Law School, who will lead a timely discussion on the evolving landscape of immigration policy&mdash;its impact on communities, local economies, and local governance. BALEO will present the BALEO Civic Excellence Award to Arturo Vargas, Chief Executive Officer of the NALEO Educational Fund, in recognition of his sustained leadership in strengthening civic engagement and promoting democratic inclusion. A proud Stanford alumnus, Mr. Vargas&rsquo;s career has inspired generations of public servants and advocates across the nation.
