Join us for the Star Spangled Sing-Off, a thrilling vocal competition open to all ages. The winner will earn the unforgettable honor of performing The Star-Spangled Banner at the opening of the Glenside Fourth of July Parade on July 4, 2025! 💵 Entry Fee: $10 per participant 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Note: Contestants under 18 must have parent/guardian consent and supervision. 📍 Location: The Royal Music & Arts Center 🗓 Date: June 28, 2025 at 8pm A panel of distinguished judges will help select this year’s anthem singer: 🎶 Kate Strubinger – A lifelong musician and member of The Royal’s Board of Directors, Kate began piano at age five and never looked back. She sang in every ensemble she could growing up, led Drexel’s collegiate a cappella group, and spent ten years as a part-time music director at a church in Bensalem. Today, she performs in a band with her husband and close friends and is excited to help choose this year’s voice of Glenside. 🎤 Jamey Piggott – A Glenside resident for 25 years, Jamey is the President of both the Abington Township Police Department's Citizens and Police Together (CAPT) and the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA). A former booking agent with over 20 years in live entertainment along the East Coast, he now serves as Executive Director of the ALS Hope Foundation and brings both musical and community passion to the judge’s table. 🎭 Chris Seifert – A performer, choir director, and theater leader, Chris has graced local stages and churches for decades. He served as choir and theater director at Bishop McDevitt and Archbishop Wood High Schools and currently works as Director of Student Engagement and Leadership Development at Bucks County Community College. Chris and his talented wife, Maria, live in Glenside where they sing at St. Luke’s and care for their musical kitten, Huey Lewis. 🎇 Bring your best voice and patriotic spirit—this is your moment to shine! Contestants should be prepared to sing the National Anthem (acapella) and one other song of their choice.
