Use this Zeffy sign-up to provide your merit badge preferences for Summer Camp 2025. These preferences will be used to register Scouts for available spots in the merit badge classes. There are 4 sessions per day. But keep in mind that not all merit badges are offered at all 4 sessions. You'll need to refer to the 2025 Merit Badge List on page 14 of the full <a href="https://hawkeyebsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/2025-Leader-Guide.pdf" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Summer Camp Guide</a> found on the Council's website. This list includes info on recommended age groups, prerequisites, additional fees, and more. The schedule (page 19) shows the sessions of the day when the merit badges meet. Some changes in the offerings or schedules may occur at any time and we will do our best to keep you informed. <h2>Eagle Quest for First Year Scouts</h2>First Year Scouts typically attend Eagle Quest which is designed to cover many Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, and 1st Class requirements. These are requirements that can be challenging for troops to cover on their own or make sense to cover during resident camp. More info about Eagle Quest is included on page 11 in the Summer Camp Guide. along with a schedule for Eagle Quest. Eagle Quest takes up sessions 1 and 2. So, First Year Scouts will only be able to provide merit badge preferences for sessions 3 and 4. In past years Eagle Quest has included an overnight activity which may conflict with merit badges that also have an overnight component such as Wilderness Survival. Be sure to review the merit badge details to make your appropriate selections. <h2>How to Make Your Selections</h2>Using the merit badge list and schedule as guides, please provide your first and second choices for each of the sessions in this Zeffy sign-up. The merit badge list in the Summer Camp Guide includes the prerequisites, the suggested age group, and any fees associated with the merit badge. These additional details may be helpful in making your selections. It is also advised to Google "[merit badge name] merit badge pdf" to see the full list of requirements. Merit badge requirements can change, so be sure you are looking at the most recent revision. <h2>Merit Badge Registrations Begin April 15th</h2>Once the registration opens on April 15th and you have paid your Summer Camp fee to the troop, you will be signed up according to your preferences and availability of open seats. Note that some merit badges have an additional activity fee to cover the cost of materials.
