It&#39;s also hard to motivate scholars to do work over the summer when there are so many other things they&#39;d rather do. The GWCCC is providing a 6 week literacy program to the scholars of our community heading into 3rd through 8th grade. This program will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 8th until August 14th. If you register your child for this program they are expected to participate in at least 11 of the 12 sessions and perfect attendance is greatly appreciated and encouraged. They will need to arrive to the center on time and prepared - chrome books charged and ready to learn. Each day will start at 9am with breakfast and discussions before jumping into the literacy work, lunch will be served, we will do enrichment time (cooking class, music production, arts &amp; crafts, then we will have recreation/aquatics time. Scholars are expected to be picked up by 5pm each day. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately in sneakers. We will swim on TUESDAYS ONLY, please ensure scholars have swim suits/towels/sunscreen, etc. Registration for the Literacy Program is $50 per participant. There are a limited number of spaces available for each group. **PLEASE READ TO AVOID ADDITIONAL FEES**The system will automatically include a platform fee. The platform fee is a percentage of the total amount paid and goes directly to the platform administrators to keep this platform free to non profits. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE SUGGESTED FEE!
