Saturday August 8th - Printing with the Sun - Cyanotype and Anthotype&nbsp; Time: 12PM - 5PM&nbsp;Location: Peaceful Belly FarmCost to attend: Sliding scale $40-100 Description:Explore early photographic processes - anthotype and cyanotype - as methods for making positive and negative images. UV radiation from the sun changes photo-sensitive molecules in our various emulsions. You will learn how to use materials regularly available in the garden and home to make prints, as well as learning how more in-depth processes, like cyanotype or emulsion-based anthotype works. We will be making photo-prints using turmeric and spinach, and cyanotype processes. Participants will leave with at least 8 prints - 2 from each process. Materials/what to bring:Objects are laid on the treated surface, like a transparency with black printing on it, lace, glass objects, plant materials, and etc. We will have a range of materials for you to explore, but hope that you will also bring interesting materials they would like to experiment with printing! Our printing surfaces will be no larger than 8 x 10 in.&nbsp; Age + Accessibility: Participants will be moving between technical processes over the course of the 5 hour day. This class will be taught through teaching demonstrations, verbal instructions, and guided processes. We will be moving between indoor and outdoor spaces, with a break for lunch.&nbsp; Numbers: Up to 10 participants
