T1Ds In The Wild: Hiking Meetup&nbsp;This event brings people living with Type 1 Diabetes together for a relaxed trail walk and good conversation! Hosted by the Beta Cell Foundation, this meetup is a chance to swap practical tips on diabetes management, share personal experiences, and enjoy time outdoors with others who understand. Having Type 1 Diabetes brings unique challenges that can make the outdoors even more intimidating. Doing it together means none of us have to figure it out alone. As always, this is a no-judgment space. Take the breaks you need and lean on the group - we stay together at all times.&nbsp; Experience level: Open to all fitness levels. This is a great one for folks newer to hiking as well as seasoned adventurers. The terrain is manageable but the distance means it&#39;s still a solid effort. This is a gently graded, mostly shaded out-and-back trail that follows the creek through the foothills, with several shallow water crossings along the way. The payoff at the end: an 81-foot dam with a waterfall cascading over it, a great spot to rest, refuel, and take photos before heading back.
