Who wants to skip school and go make ice cream with Principal Hale? Now’s your chance!

At Tarwater, students know two things for sure about Principal Hale: she LOVES science, and she definitely loves ice cream even more. When she announces birthdays, she famously says, “I hope you have ice cream…” and while students used to wonder why she didn’t say cake, they now know it’s because she truly believes ice cream is better. 

The winning bidder will get to skip school and join Principal Hale for an exclusive, two hour, behind-the-scenes visit to Cold Stone Creamery World Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday, May 13th.  

This experience includes:

• Go “behind the stone” and explore the art and science of ice cream

• Learn how new flavors are developed from “hmm…” to “Mmm!”

• Step into the research and development process

• Create and mix your own custom ice cream on the iconic frozen granite stone

This experience was specifically created for Tarwater PTO and is not available to the public, making it a truly rare and special opportunity.

Fine Print

This opportunity is made possible through special arrangements by Tarwater PTO and Cold Stone Creamery in support of Tarwater’s STEM programs. The experience takes place on May 13, from 1pm-3pm. The date and time for this experience are predetermined and cannot be changed. Participants must follow all Test Kitchen safety and food handling guidelines. This experience involves inherent risks associated with a working kitchen environment, including use of equipment and potential exposure to food allergens. Cold Stone Creamery is not an allergen-free facility and cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact with common allergens such as nuts, wheat, or milk.

Winner will get to read the morning announcements.

Front and center for your child’s big milestone. Winner will receive 4 front row seats at 6th Grade promotion AND one (1) reserved parking spot in the School’s South Parking Lot.

Winner and their classmates will get to silly string a teacher or staff member!

Winner will receive the opportunity to join Ms. Droeg to play with the Tarwater Robots or design and print a 3D Printer project.

Winner receives an extra :30 minutes of recess and popsicles on the playground for their entire class!

Winner receives a glow party for their entire class. PTO will provide glow party decor and tunes for a memorable day!

Winner and 1 friend will enjoy a picnic lunch with Tarwater 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Bohn.

Winner and a friend will receive the opportunity to participate in woodworking workshop with Tarwater 3rd Grade Teacher, Mr. Wittreich.

Winner and one friend will get to participate in a movie making class with Tarwater 4th Grade Teacher, Ms. Weatherill.

Winner and a friend will get to enjoy a donut party before school with Tarwater Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Eaton.

Winner and a friend will enjoy cookies and crafting with Tarwater Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Dong, after school.

Winner will spend the day with Tarwater Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs Jones. Winner will receive a staff lanyard, whistle, have lunch in the teachers lounge, and help Mrs Jones work on lesson plans.

Winner will enjoy Starbucks beverages with Ms. Seabrook.

Winner will be PE Teacher for their Class, selecting PE activities and music.

Winner will receive a game of Crazy Bases with Mr. Simpson (PE) for their entire class.

Winner will get to play one on one basketball game against Dean Tuttle.

Winner will get to learn about podcasting from Principal Hale.
