Teen Open Studio Fee

Rising high school students (ages 13+ or who have graduated from 8th grade) may join us for a Jacoby Clay Open Studio time! Build on your skills and play with clay in a warm, welcoming studio environment.  Students should have some experience previously in the clay studio either personally or through a school program. Class fee includes clay for one piece, use of classroom tools including extruder, slab roller, work tables, and wheels (if experienced with wheel throwing) and supervision by Rachel Lappin. Students will have up to three hours of time to experiment with technique and explore processes in our beautiful, natural light clay studio space.  Glaze and fire for your finished piece is an additional $10 and will be paid by QR Code during your studio visit.  Open Studio time can be paid for prior to visiting (please show your e-ticket to Rachel upon arrival) OR you can drop-in during open hours from 1-4pm and pay via QR Code upon arrival. We do not accept cash payments for drop-ins.  NO INSTRUCTION is available during Open Studio time. Rachel will be on hand for suggestions and supervision and will walk newcomers through a studio orientation but will not be hosting classroom instruction during this time. Practitioners are expected to be capable of working independently and adhering to all studio rules.
