Original Art by TOCA Fellow, Derek
$50

Starting bid

Farewell by Derek
2026 · Oil on canvas board · 16.25” × 13”

In Farewell, Derek captures the bittersweet feeling of leaving a place that became part of his journey abroad. Drawn to the scene for its sense of departure, he approached the painting as both a goodbye and an act of release—letting go and allowing the art to emerge intuitively. Working in oil pushed Derek beyond his usual mediums and invited him to embrace patience, discovery, and the process of simply letting the art come to him.

Parameters: Item can be shipped if winner is out of state.

Original Art by TOCA Fellow, Eduardo
$50

Starting bid

Anguish by Eduardo
2026 · Oil on canvas board · 16.25” × 13”

In Anguish, Eduardo transforms frustration into movement and emotion. Accustomed to working primarily with pen and graphite in a darker, more grotesque style, he found painting with oil—and working with color—entirely unfamiliar. The trees in this piece became an unexpected way to express that struggle: rooted in his frustration with drawing them, they ultimately became some of his strongest work. What began as angst became a study in emotion, motion, and finding an artistic voice beyond expectation.

Parameters: Item can be shipped if winner is out of state.

Original Art by TOCA Fellow, Grace
$50

Starting bid

The Final Sign by Grace
2026 · Oil on canvas board · 16.25” × 13”

Painted on the final day of her journey, The Final Sign captures a familiar landmark in an unfamiliar landscape. Grace was drawn to the vibrant red sign she had noticed throughout her time in the fields, its bold color standing in contrast to the surrounding greenery and reminding her of the street signs of New York City. Using lighter colors in the distance, she sought to capture the sense of light filtering through the trees. Working en plein air challenged Grace to embrace the unpredictability of nature—from shifting sunlight to sudden gusts of wind—and to adjust her process in real time. The experience helped her move beyond perfectionism and toward a deeper appreciation for the act of creating itself.

Parameters: Art can be shipped to winner if outside of NYC.
