The Texas Film Belt Project promotes filmmaking along the I-10 corridor in Texas. The inauguaral screening event will offer selections of films, some current, some classic, that were shot within 50 miles of Interstate 10.An announcement of the films selected to be part of the first Texas Film Belt Project traveling film block will be announced along with the presentation of the custom Texas Film Belt Project belt buckle awards. The films selected for the film block will be screened at different locations and festivals along the I-10 corridor starting with Sulphur, LA on Oct. 4, 2025 as part of the Lake Charles Film Festival. This ongoing project will help bring more film tourism to Texas, including Orange County, by inspiring road trips along Interstate 10 in the great state of Texas.The winner of the $1,000 cash prize for the best film shot in Orange County will also be awarded that night.
