Through a curated selection of films and free, community-centered events, the festival explores themes such as social memory, diaspora, food, language, and everyday life—subjects that resonate deeply in a city like Gainesville, where cultural exchange and storytelling are central to community life. Whether through film screenings, panel discussions,  workshops, or performances, the Gainesville Latino Film Festival creates space for connection, reflection, and celebration. It invites audiences to engage with powerful stories that speak to both local and global experiences, enriching Gainesville’s cultural landscape and honoring the values at the heart of Latin American film: resilience, identity, and collective memory.
