Welcome to the Orchestra: A Family Concert Featuring The Composer is Dead by Lemony Snicket and Nathaniel Stookey&nbsp;The Biloxi Civic Orchestra opens a new chapter this October, not just for BCO, but for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This concert marks BCO&#39;s debut as the Resident Orchestra of the newly reopened historic Saenger Theatre, the beloved 1929 downtown Biloxi venue that spent years dark before its long-awaited restoration. It&#39;s fitting that our first performance in this storied hall is one built for the whole family.The evening centers on Lemony Snicket and Nathaniel Stookey&#39;s The Composer Is Dead, a delightfully macabre orchestral whodunit in which every section of the orchestra becomes a suspect in the case of a composer&#39;s untimely demise. Snicket&#39;s droll narration and Stookey&#39;s sly, instrument-by-instrument writing turn a music-appreciation lesson into a mystery kids and adults will both want to solve, while introducing young audiences to the sound and character of a full symphony orchestra.Rounding out the program are Saint-Sa&euml;ns&#39; Danse Macabre, giving the evening an autumn-night atmosphere without ever losing its sense of fun.&nbsp;
