Participants will create their own charming peek-a-boo felt flower puppets by hand, learning simple stitching and felt-working techniques while crafting a playful puppet tucked inside a soft flower cone. Each participant will leave with a finished handmade creation to take home and enjoy!

Perfect for adults, older students, caregivers, grandparents, or anyone drawn to handmade beauty, creativity, and quiet autumn mornings.

Join us for a tiki-inspired evening of cocktails or mocktails, food, and fireside camping!

The Kanes and Ecklunds will host a cocktail campout in the Kane family’s back yard in McHenry, featuring handcrafted botanical cocktails with a tiki spirit and tropical twists on classics like the mai tai, scorpion, and Singapore sling.

The evening will begin with lighter summer cocktail punches alongside fresh salads and appetizers, followed by pressed sandwiches with tropical influences—jerk mushroom or chicken, plantains, and more—paired with additional cocktails, homemade liqueurs, bitters, and cordials crafted especially for the evening. Delicious spirit-free options will also be available throughout the night.

Exceptional seasonal food, firelit desserts, and perhaps even a dessert cocktail/mocktail will carry the gathering into the night.

As the sun sets, guests can relax around the bonfire, listen to the bullfrogs, catch a few fireflies, and enjoy time outdoors with friends both new and old. There is always room for a few surprises.

Guests are welcome to stay overnight in provided tents or arrange a ride home, if preferred.

Fresh coffee and homemade pastries will be offered the following morning.

Class will take place at Da Vinci Waldorf School or another mutually arranged location.

This guided acrylic painting experience invites guests to slow down, gather together, and create something beautiful in community.

Participants will be guided step-by-step through painting an enchanting woodland scene inspired by glowing forests, fireflies, and the quiet magic of nature. The theme may be adjusted based on the group’s interests.

This small-group painting experience is ideal for older children, teens, and adults (approximately ages 12+). Perfect for beginners as well as more experienced painters, the class will provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for creativity, conversation, and connection.

All materials will be provided, including acrylic paints and a 9x12 canvas panel to take home.
