Emergency Team

The Emergency Team supports urgent rescue situations when a horse is in immediate danger. Emergency rescues are for horses who are old, sick, emaciated, or injured. They may be in unsafe community situations, at high risk of being taken to auction where they will be purchased by a slaughter buyer or may already be in a slaughter ship pen. This team gives these horses a way out and a safe place to land. Every dollar of support from this team covers the urgent needs that allow us to remove horses from unsafe and potentially life-ending situations. These needs include pen fees, hauling to quarantine, and emergency care. As a member of the Emergency Team, you help to ensure that we can say "yes" when it matters most. Please join the Emergency Team to stand with our most at-risk horses when every hour matters.
