Join us for The Fallen Outdoors Texas 2nd Annual Banquet- an unforgettable evening in support of a great cause. This special event offers a unique opportunity to connect, celebrate, and make a meaningful impact. Come join us at the Circle R Ranch that is set amidst 60 acres of rolling hills and pastures in DFW to support Texas Veterans while enjoying a live auction, raffles, dinner and a cash bar. We look forward to seeing you there. Our guest speaker for this year event is Shilo Harris. Shilo Harris comes from a family with deep roots in military service. As a son of a Vietnam veteran, Shilo always knew he wanted to be a soldier. Shortly afterward he enlisted as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army. His first deployment was to Schweinfurt, Germany with the 1st Infantry Division. From Germany Shilo headed to war-torn Iraq.On his second deployment, with the 10th Mountain Division, he was assigned and worked near southern Baghdad. On February 19, 2007, Harris’ armored vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED). The explosion injured the driver and ended three fellow soldiers’ lives. Shilo survived with severe third degree burns on 35% of his body. Today, Shilo is a inspirational speaker, sharing his story with corporate groups, Veterans and medical teams around the world on, yet not limited to: how to overcome adversity, balance personal and professional life, motivational leadership, customer servicesuccess, raising awareness of physical, emotional and mental scars of war, and serving as an inspiration to fellow soldiers/veterans and their families. The Fallen Outdoors (TFO) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering veterans by connecting them to the therapeutic benefits of the great outdoors. TFO Team Texas is dedicated to organizing outdoor adventures such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping for Veterans, Active-Duty Servicemembers, and Gold Star families within our great Lone Star state. We aim to create meaningful connections and introduce them to lifelong outdoor pursuits. "Living our dreams, because they gave up theirs."
