Founded in 1947, the Jackson Art Association includes professional and amateur artists of all ages, as well as those interested in supporting the visual arts. Our mission is to enrich the appreciation of visual art by fostering fellowship among artists of all levels in Jackson and the surrounding areas. The exception to this schedule is the month of December. We gather at 6:00 pm for social time; the official meeting starts at 6:30 pm and lasts until 8:00 pm. All meetings, unless announced otherwise, take place in the community room of the Ella Sharp Museum. In order to pay our models, members are currently charged $12.00, and non-members are charged $15.00. You must bring your own supplies, although some easels, tables, and chairs are available. &nbsp;If painting in oil, solvents must be of the odorless kind.
