Vari Musicisti is very excited to present The Last Five Years, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown! This modern musical ingeniously chronicles the five-year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up and from break-up to meeting. An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. This production will star Steven Copp as Jamie and Cranford resident Teresa Giardina as Cathy. The musical direction will be done by Rob Keiser, another resident of Cranford. THE LAST FIVE YEARS Written and composed byJASON ROBERT BROWN Originally produced for the New York stage byArielle Tepper and Marty Bell Originally produced by Northlight TheatreChicago, IL THE LAST FIVE YEARSIs presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.www.mtishows.com Contains some adult language and situations
