Spelling isn&#39;t guesswork - it&#39;s teachable when we know how it works. &nbsp;This session explores how the reading brain learns to spell, how English is structured, and which practices truly help. &nbsp;You&#39;ll get simple explanations, effective strategies, and downloadable activities to make spelling instruction meaningful, effective, and totally doable. &nbsp; Dr. Shelley Blackwell, SLP.D., earned her doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Kansas Medical Center and brings over 25 years of experience in public education. &nbsp;She has served as a Speech Language Pathologist, MTSS Literacy Specialist, and Elementary Administrator, with expertise in literacy, special education, and instructional leadership. &nbsp;A frequent presenter at national and local conferences, Dr. Blackwell shares insights on MTSS, spelling, morphology, and inclusive practices. &nbsp;She has authored an open-source morphology curriculum downloaded over 27,000 times. &nbsp;Driven by genuine passion for empowering both students and teachers, she is wholeheartedly dedicated to fostering their growth, learning, and full potential. &nbsp;
