This program is designed for young performers aged 7-14 who have already had experience in theatre classes and/or have participated in fully staged productions. Returning students who have participated in Introductory Theatre classes or previous Production classes at The Lyric are welcome to register for this session. New students should complete the Introductory Theatre class before participating in the Acting Production OR receive a recommendation from Joelle for this production class. If you&rsquo;re unsure about which program is appropriate for your child, please email Joelle at joeloeproductions@gmail.com.&nbsp;Instructor: Kate McCosh, Assistant: Corinne Taylor, Stage Manager: Ashlee Ramey NOTE: This is an intensive program and students are expected to attend all class sessions and rehearsals. Students missing two or more class sessions/rehearsals will be required to schedule a private session with an instructor ($25) to catch up on missed material. ABOUT THE SHOW: Have you ever felt like you don&rsquo;t belong? Powerless Charlie sticks out like a sore thumb in a school full of superheroes. Smellinator can&rsquo;t control her powers and forgot to do her Villain 101 homework. Golden Boy won&rsquo;t follow protocol. And Toxic Sludge is, well, toxic sludge. When a supervillain attacks the school Charlie must dig deep within herself. She may not be a superhero but she discovers her unique talents to save the day. WHEN: Thursdays, Sep 17th, 2026 &ndash; Dec 10th, 20264:30pm- 6:00pm (1.5 hours)Production performances on Saturday, Dec 12th at 11:00am and 2:00pm.(Special rehearsals at The Lyric required on Saturday, Nov 14th (10am - 2pm), Wednesday, Dec 9th (4:30pm - 6:30pm) and a final run-through at 9am on show day (Dec 12th) WHERE: Class meets at Blacksburg Presbyterian (701 Church Street SE) Sep 17th - Dec 3rd, then moves to The Lyric Theatre for special rehearsals, final classes, and performances.
