Doors open at 4:00 PM, with the concert beginning at 5:00 PM. The performance will feature two 50-minute sets separated by a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and—thanks to the Chalfonte Foundation’s commitment to arts access—youth ages 25 and under receive 50% off, an initiative designed to encourage young people to experience world-class cultural events and broaden their artistic horizons.The Tannahill Weavers, born from a session in Paisley, Scotland and now approaching their 58th anniversary, are internationally celebrated for their powerful blend of Highland and Lowland musical traditions. Named for the region’s historic weaving industry and poet laureate Robert Tannahill, the band revolutionized the Scottish folk scene by bringing full-sized Highland bagpipes into professional concert settings—a bold innovation that propelled them to global recognition. Their music captures the mystic beauty of Celtic tradition fused with the raw, spirited balladry of Scotland’s working-class Lowlands, resulting in performances that are both deeply moving and electrifying in their energy. As the Winnipeg Free Press famously noted, “The Tannahill Weavers—properly harnessed—could probably power an entire city for a year.”With nearly six decades of touring history across Europe, North America, and beyond, the Tannies continue to inspire audiences with fire-driven instrumentals, rich three- and four-part harmonies, topical songwriting, and infectious rhythmic drive. They have earned worldwide acclaim, from winning the Scotstar Award for Folk Record of the Year to their induction into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. Their recent releases—including their 50th anniversary album Òrach and their 2024 holiday collection Solstice—have introduced their iconic sound to new generations.
