TICKET TIERS : 50% of our tickets are sliding scale, with the majority of these tickets allocated to BIPOC and trans femme campers While trans people are themselves a historically marginalized group of people, we recognize that certain individuals stand at the intersection of discrimination and are overlooked or explicitly excluded from queer/trans spaces because of racism and misogyny. In keeping with our values, we are exploring making our registration tickets more accessible to BIPOC and trans femmes (For lack of a better term, we use this as an umbrella term acknowledging trans women, trans feminine, mtf butches and dykes, amab non-binary, etc). This addition of sliding scale registration options also replaces the extra form that we used to have folks fill out for interest in sliding scale. We hope that by doing so, TransCamp can be a space for collective liberation and community. As we learn and grow, we invite feedback, especially from those with lived experience in these people groups 2.
