We don’t often schedule events on Mondays, but we’ll do it to host the first West Coast performance by banjo phenomenon Ettore Buzzini. His fresh take on bluegrass draws from romantic classical music and rock, and has won him awards and gigs with Del McCoury and Leftover Salmon. Come hear an 18-year old born in an Italian-speaking area of Switzerland who has something to add to American music. Imagine if Earl Scruggs, Eddie Van Halen, and Lord Byron got together for a collab: it might sound something like young Swiss-American songwriting and banjo prodigy Ettore Buzzini's unique sound. To the casual listener, Ettore's might be mistaken for simply hard-driving Bluegrass. But anyone who listens a little more closely will quickly notice that Ettore’s virtuosic music blends the iconic acoustic sounds of Americana, youthful energy and hard drive of pop-rock, and, most forcefully, the epic, soul-stirring, romantic emotions of classical music. Ettore will be playing both classics and some new music from his forthcoming album Blue Blue Blue. You can hear some of his music and learn more about him at his website: https://ettorebuzzini.com/home
