The Troop 1907 Basics Weekend Campout is Apr 17-19 at the Manidokan Camp in Knoxville, MD. We would love to have as many scouts as possible join us for this event! We are excited to have new scouts joining our troop. This campout will be a fantastic opportunity to meet and welcome them with our &quot;Basics&quot; training. Beyond the training, our primary goals for this trip are to encourage group bonding and ensure the Troop gets plenty of fresh air and time outdoors. Basics training focuses on the essential skills and knowledge Scouts need in order to understand how camping works within the Boy Scouts program. There will be lots of hands-on instruction, geared towards our newer members, but all members of the troop are welcome.&nbsp; While the adult ASMs will be in attendance to guide and teach, it is important that we have youth Scouts who are First Class or above join us to help with instruction and implementation of the program. We specifically ask that members of the PLC, Troop Guides, and Instructors make every effort to attend this weekend. The cost of this event will be $34 to cover camp and grub fees. Trip Details- When: Friday, April 17 &ndash; Sunday, April 19, 2026- Where: Manidokan Camp, 1600 Harpers Ferry Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758- Meeting Point: Friday at 6:00 PM at Trailside MS. We will depart by 6:30 PM. Scouts arriving after 6:30 PM must arrange their own transportation to the campsite. Registration and Payment- Cost: $34 (covers campsite rental and grub fee).- Deadline: Permission slips, health forms, and payment are due by Monday, April 13. Forms can be submitted at the Troop meeting that evening.- How to Pay: Use this Zeffy signup page to sign up and pay. Alternatively, we accept Venmo, PayPal, or cash/checks (payable to Troop 1907).
