This trip is to Palisades State Park in South Dakota and is only about 4 hour drive from Lincoln. &nbsp; Staff from the University of Nebraska oversee the climbing aspects and provide all of the gear. &nbsp;This is included in the fees.&nbsp; During this trip, Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the Rock Climbing Merit Badge! &nbsp;This is unique badge that not a lot of Scouts are able to earn being in Nebraska. &nbsp;Scouts will learn some new knots, how to belay, how to climb on real rock (vs. a rock wall) and also get the opportunity to rappel down the face of rocks! &nbsp;Adults are also allowed to climb if you attend.
