Two Gals Swingin&#39; brings Peggy Raley &amp; Jackie Johnson together for an afternoon of straight-ahead jazz, rich vocals, and stories of True Blue Jazz past, present &amp; an eye to the future. And, added Special Guest ~ Tenor Sax Legend, Jerry Weldon!This Festival was founded in celebration of America&#39;s One True Art Form ~ Jazz. Preservation through Performance is our clear-eyed Mission Statement that has brought many Jazz Greats, even recognized Legends to the True Blue Jazz Stage. We brought you Rising Stars on the Jazz Scene today as well. And...our Youth Jazz Educational Workshops, Scholarships &amp; Festival Performances introduced a number of Next Generation Jazz Artists that have &quot;come into their own&quot;&nbsp;through these True Blue Jazz Programs &amp; Opportunities.Vocalist Jackie Johnson exemplifies all of that in the very best of ways.Graduating this Spring from Temple University as a Jazz Studies Major....from her entry as a Freshman, she was a much sought after &amp; fought over Vocalist, from the various Ensembles to the Temple Big Bands. Jackie now plays out in Philly&#39;s Jazz Clubs with other young Jazz Cats makin&#39; their mark on the storied Philadelphia Jazz Scene.Continuing our True Blue Jazz tradition in support of young Jazz Talent, Co-Founder, VP, Artistic Director, well known &amp; loved Vocalist Peggy Raley welcomes Jackie Johnson to her first Headliner Event for True Blue Jazz.
