Chance Theater — Ages 13 to 75 | 3-Hour Workshop
Ever dream of delivering a dramatic punch without leaving a bruise? Ready to fall (safely) for your art? This one-day, action-packed workshop is your chance to master the art of illusionary violence!
Led by a professional fight choreographer, this 3-hour stage combat class is designed for actors who want to move with confidence, create compelling conflict, and keep their fellow performers safe. Whether you’ve thrown a stage slap before or have no idea what a knap is, this class will get your body moving, your adrenaline pumping, and your technique stage-ready.
Participants:
Open to students ages 15–75
Limited to 25 participants — first come, first served
Tuition: $50 ($40 Early Bird & Member)
Auditor: $15 ($10 Early Bird & Member)
Walk-in observers welcome at the door for $25, space allowing.
Together, we’ll:
Warm up your body with safety-focused drills and physical storytelling
Learn fundamental unarmed combat techniques (slaps, punches, falls & more)
Explore how to build tension and tell stories through fight choreography
Practice short fight sequences with partners in a supportive setting
Build trust, timing, and theatrical precision — no black eyes necessary
