Unity Uprising:&nbsp;Black Radical Traditions and Collective Liberation On April 4th, the 58th anniversary of Dr. King&rsquo;s martyrdom, please join us at Cal State Los Angeles&rsquo; MLK Lecture Hall for a gathering of pro-Black radical thinkers, leaders, and cultural producers. Unity Uprising convenes in the spirit of the great convergences of the 1960s when Malcolm and Martin, the Panthers and liberation theologians, socialists and cultural nationalists held in tension the full complexity of Black freedom struggle and broke new ground in the struggle for collective liberation. Rooted in African and Diasporic Radical Traditions, and hosted by professors Melina Abdullah and Butch Ware, this gathering brings together leading figures in movement politics, culture, and organizing. The partial campus map below, clearly indicates it, as well as a suggested route from Lot C to King Hall. The walk to King Hall from Parking Lot C is about 8-15 minutes.
