Bio (from NHL):

Lewis is not known for offense, but he provided some for the Los Angeles Kings in Game 6 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final. His two goals in that game against the New Jersey Devils helped Los Angeles clinch its first championship and were one fewer than he had during the 2011-12 regular season.

A Salt Lake City, Utah, native, Lewis was a first-round pick (No. 17) of the Kings in the 2006 NHL Draft. The versatile center/wing usually is a defense-first presence on the ice.

Something of a late bloomer who was not drafted until after his 19-year-old season with Des Moines of the United States Hockey League, Lewis made his NHL debut on Dec. 19, 2008, against the Buffalo Sabres. He scored his first NHL goal the next night against the Detroit Red Wings and finished the 2008-09 season with a goal and three points in six NHL games.

Officially a rookie in 2010-11 after playing five NHL games the previous season, Lewis had two assists against the Boston Bruins on Nov. 20, 2010, for his first multipoint game in the NHL. Lewis, who finished the season tied for 10th among NHL rookies with 102 hits, appeared in all six games for Los Angeles in the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs. His average ice time in the playoffs (16:39) jumped more than five minutes per game from the regular season (11:29).

Lewis' first NHL playoff goal forced overtime in Game 6 of the first round that season against the San Jose Sharks. He tied for second on the Kings with three assists in the playoffs.

Lewis was fourth on the Kings with 77 hits during the 2014 playoffs as Los Angeles won its second title in three seasons. A pending unrestricted free agent, he signed a four-year contract with the Kings on June 25, 2016.

After playing his first 12 NHL seasons with the Kings, Lewis signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Jan. 13, 2021. He scored 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 56 regular-season games with Winnipeg, then signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Calgary Flames on July 28, 2021. He returned to the Kings on a one-year, $775,000 contract July 1, 2023, and became the first Utah-born player to skate his 1,000th NHL game when the Kings defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 at Crypto.com Arena on Jan. 4, 2025.

Lewis helped the United States win a bronze medal at the 2007 World Junior Championship. That came after a 2005-06 season with Des Moines where he had 35 goals and 75 points in 56 games. He was named USHL Player of the Year and Forward of the Year and won the Curt Hammer Award for combining character and skill.

Starting bid

Here we have a Glenn Anderson signed jersey from the Oilers organization!

The donor of the item is a new family to the Utah area. The donor is getting the jersey from the Oilers organization and will be bringing the item down from Canada in October. So the item will not be available until then. We truly appreciate their kindness and willingness to donate the jersey to the Lady Grizzlies organization.

Bio (from NHL):

Anderson did a lot of scoring and winning during an NHL career that earned him induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.

The Edmonton Oilers selected the Vancouver native in the fourth round (No. 69) of the 1979 NHL Draft. He spent 1979-80 with the Canadian National Team and played for Canada at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics before turning pro with the Oilers in 1980-81.

Anderson scored 30 goals as a rookie, helping the second-year Oilers advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He was a 100-point scorer in each of the next two seasons and had the first of his two 54-goal seasons in 1983-84, when he finished with 99 points. Anderson also contributed 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) to help the Oilers win the Stanley Cup, their first of five in a span of seven seasons.

His second 54-goal season came in 1985-86 and coincided with his third and final 100-point season. Anderson finished with 73 points (35 goals, 38 assists) in 1986-87 and 88 (38 goals, 50 assists) in 1987-88, but had his two best playoff performances with 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 21 games in 1987 and 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 1988, helping the Oilers win their third and fourth Stanley Cup title.

Anderson had another big postseason in 1990, finishing with 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 22 games, becoming one of seven members of the Oilers to play on all five championship teams.

But after Anderson dropped to 55 points (24 goals, 31 assists) in 1990-91, the Oilers traded him to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sept. 19, 1991. He scored 24 and 22 goals the next two seasons with Toronto and was traded to the New York Rangers on March 21, 1994. Less than three months later, Anderson was a Stanley Cup champion for the sixth time after helping the Rangers win it all for the first time since 1940. He scored three goals in 23 playoff games, but two of the three were game-winners in the Final against the Vancouver Canucks.

Anderson signed with the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 13, 1995, was claimed on waivers by the Oilers on Jan. 25, 1996, but returned to the Blues on a waiver claim less than seven weeks later. He retired after the 1995-96 season with 1,099 points (498 goals, 601 assists) in 1,129 NHL games and 214 points (93 goals, 121 assists) in 225 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Anderson is fourth all-time in playoff scoring and fifth in goals.

He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008, and the Oilers retired his No. 9 on Jan. 18, 2009.

Earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia, with a focus on ensemble, acrobatic and movement training techniques analogous to those used by the famous Red Army hockey program, Christian has a completely unique perspective on performance which he includes in his on-ice teachings.
