We&#39;re thrilled to announce the return of The Varnam Salon NYC, now in its sixth edition since its launch in 2022.&nbsp; Varnam Salon 6.0 will feature:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="box-sizing:inherit;" style="box-sizing:inherit;">Kavita Thirumalai and Vivek Ramanan</li></ul>Curators, Srinidhi Raghavan and Sri Thina Subramaniam envision the Salon as more than a performance platform&mdash;it&rsquo;s a space for dancers to engage deeply with their craft, share their processes, and connect with peers and audiences through discussion and reflection. This year, they are excited to welcome Sneha Subramaniam to the team, bringing fresh energy and perspective to the initiative. The Varnam&mdash;a central piece in the Bharatanatyam repertoire&mdash;interweaves abhinaya (expressive storytelling) and nritta (pure dance). Known for its intricate structure and emotional depth, the Varnam challenges the artist&rsquo;s physical and mental endurance while inviting audiences into a shared exploration of relationship and meaning.
