Acorn came to us in September of 2025. He was infested with mites so bad, he actually had a seizure while we were at the vet with him due to the pain and itchiness. He was completely impacted, and becuase of his prolonged poor husbandry, he will need to be cleaned out daily or every several days for the rest of his life. But this is one friendly guinea pig. He is always running up to the bars when you walk up and loves to be pet. And boy does he LOVE his food and treats!

Stewie has quite the story of resilience and courage. Stewie was found in a box at Aloha Animal Hospital in December of 2023, along with Rascal and Daisy. Their names were on sticky notes on the outside and that was it. 

Stewie’s eye was damaged severely so it was immediately removed. The vet then contacted me to see if I could take them in. 

I am convinced that Rascal is Stewie’s son, and after several months of attempts, I was finally able to bond them. Stewie and Tascal lived happily for the next year and a half, until Stewie’s eye socket started acting up and getting infected. Back and forth to the eye specialist, and in January of 2026, Stewie underwent another surgery, a revision of his eye removal. It was a rough surgery and Stewie had a lot of complications afterwards. Just when I thought he was over the worst of it, I put him back in with Rascal and a few days later they had a terrible fight, which resulted in the ER-worthy bite I sustained when separating them. 

We think that Stewie is finally on the mend, but he is still get eye cleanings and check ups from the eye specialist. This boy is so brave. And he deserves to stay in his little suite next
