SafeRide America’s Verified Community Service program is designed for individuals who want or need a higher level of documentation, accountability, and progress reporting while completing community service.

Traditional community-service verification often happens only at the end, when an organization provides a letter stating how many hours were completed. Verified Community Service takes a different approach.

We document the process as it happens.

From enrollment through completion, SafeRide maintains a continuing record of your community-service activity so your progress can be reviewed and verified throughout the service period.

Verified Community Service includes:

• Personal assistance with your SafeRide volunteer registration
• Review of your required or planned community-service hours
• Review of your completion deadline
• Assistance understanding available SafeRide volunteer opportunities
• Help with scheduling and waitlists
• Documentation of scheduled volunteer assignments
• Attendance tracking
• Documentation of completed service hours
• Documentation of cancellations and no-shows
• Running total of verified hours completed
• Tracking of remaining hours
• Monitoring of upcoming scheduled service
• Progress status such as On Track, At Risk, or Complete
• Ongoing progress reporting
• Direct verification from SafeRide when reasonably requested
• Reporting to an authorized probation officer, attorney, parent, case manager, or other approved recipient when applicable
• Standard emailed PDF completion letter included at no additional charge

Ongoing Progress Visibility

Verified Community Service is intended to provide more than a final completion document.

As your service progresses, SafeRide can maintain a record showing information such as:

• When you registered
• When you signed up for volunteer opportunities
• Whether you attended scheduled assignments
• Hours actually completed
• Cancellations
• No-shows
• Upcoming scheduled hours
• Remaining hours
• Whether your current schedule appears sufficient to meet your stated deadline

This creates a more transparent record of your community-service activity from beginning to completion.

Progress Reporting

When appropriate and properly authorized, SafeRide may provide progress information to a designated third party, such as:

• Probation officer
• Court or supervision representative
• Attorney
• Case manager
• Parent or guardian
• Other authorized individual

Reports may include completed hours, remaining hours, attendance, scheduled service, cancellations, no-shows, and overall progress status.

If third-party reporting is part of your service, SafeRide will work with you during your initial Volunteer Support Meeting to obtain the appropriate contact and authorization information.

Why Verification Matters

Verified Community Service creates a documented record while the service is taking place, rather than relying solely on documentation created after the required hours have been completed.

This provides greater transparency for the volunteer and, when applicable, the person or organization responsible for monitoring the community-service requirement.

It also allows potential problems to be identified earlier. For example, if you are approaching your deadline but have not completed or scheduled enough hours, your status may indicate that you are At Risk rather than waiting until the deadline has passed to discover the problem.

Your First Step After Purchase

After purchasing Verified Community Service, you will receive an email asking you to schedule a Volunteer Support Meeting with SafeRide.

During that phone or Zoom meeting, we will review:

• Your required number of hours
• Your deadline
• Who is requiring your service
• Your jurisdiction, when applicable
• Your availability
• Available SafeRide opportunities
• Your reporting requirements
• Who, if anyone, should receive progress reports
• Any special circumstances we should know about

This meeting is conducted remotely. No in-person administrative appointment is required.

Important: Community-Service Hours Cannot Be Purchased

The $129 fee pays for the additional administrative work, personal support, monitoring, recordkeeping, verification, and reporting associated with the Verified Community Service program.

It does not purchase community-service hours.

Payment does not:

• Reduce the number of hours you must actually perform
• Provide credit for hours you did not complete
• Increase the amount of credit given for work performed
• Replace attendance at required volunteer assignments
• Guarantee completion by a particular deadline
• Guarantee acceptance by a court, probation office, attorney, school, employer, diversion program, or other referring authority

SafeRide credits only community service that has been actually performed and verified.

Court, Probation & Other Required Service

Requirements vary among courts, probation offices, diversion programs, attorneys, schools, employers, and other organizations.

If your community service is required by another organization, you are responsible for confirming that SafeRide America and the type of volunteer service you perform meet that organization’s requirements.

SafeRide welcomes reasonable verification inquiries from probation officers, attorneys, courts, case managers, and other authorized representatives.

Verified Does Not Mean Guaranteed

Verified Community Service provides enhanced administration, documentation, monitoring, and reporting.

It does not include Priority Managed Support.

If regular volunteer opportunities are full, your scheduling options under this program remain subject to normal availability and waitlists.

If you have a tight deadline, limited availability, or need SafeRide to coordinate additional volunteer capacity when standard opportunities are full, consider Verified + Priority Community Service instead.

Completion Documentation

Once your verified service is complete, your standard emailed PDF completion letter is included in the program.

Signed originals, mailed documents, expedited processing, overnight delivery, or other special documentation may involve additional charges.
