This powerful invocation originates back to the Sūtra of the Eight Auspicious Ones from Buddha Shakyamuni which he instructed to one of his disciples to deflect fear, protect from harm and dispel obstacles. It is both a timeless and timely prayer in our day and age of change.&nbsp; By reciting their names and recalling their qualities, we invite auspiciousness and success in ritual practice and worldly endeavors.
