We have been awarding college scholarships since 1975 to children and legal dependents of retired and current Avista employees who are pursuing an undergraduate or vocational-technical degree from an accredited institution. Applications are reviewed by a panel of judges, not affiliated with Avista, selecting award recipients with a weighted criteria of 70 percent on academic achievements and 30 percent on extracurricular activities.
