We're looking for volunteers to help us collect used books! You could:

• set up a book drive in the community (enlist your book club, civic club, scouts, neighbors, friends...)
• get a group together (or go on your own) to shop local Friends of Library sales. Many towns have them monthly or quarterly
• offer to keep a book drop-off bin at your home or office
• any other ideas!?!

Once you sign up, we will set up a time to coach you on the types of books we are looking for and other best practices. We will provide you with any materials needed, and you will be reimbursed for any costs involved!

We need volunteers to help us sort and clean books!

We will provide you with the "book doctor supplies" and will give you a tutorial on our quality control process to ensure you are feeling confident with the work.

Take a box home to work at your leisure or organize your own "book cleaning party" with friends or a community group.

Are you a Canva whiz? An SEO champ? A video vixen?

We're hoping to bring some consistency to our online and print marketing this year, and we're looking for someone to post on social media at least twice per month.

An alternative could be to create some general marketing material in bulk that we'll be able to use ad hoc.

We'll set you up with the appropriate logins, logo, etc. and figure out an arrangement that works with your schedule.

We are in need of volunteers to not only get the word out about our cause, but to identify and approach potential book nook sites in Worcester county and Metrowest.

This means perhaps tapping into your existing networks, cold calling, or visiting places of business.

We can provide you with a "wish list" of types of businesses we are hoping to enlist as well as book desert areas to focus on.

We plan to apply to at least four grants in Q1. If you are a capable writer or researcher, please consider helping us with this task.

You do not need to have grant writing experience -- we are really looking for help getting the process in motion. This means at the very least: reading the grant, extracting the gist of what is needed, and putting it into actionable steps. Help us get started so that we can meet our deadlines!

We're looking for people to help us obtain corporate and individual donations. Whether through researching corporations with charity foundations, approaching community members, or appealing to your own network, help us reach our goal to match our donations from all of 2025 in Q1 of 2026!
