Join us as a volunteer for the Maybury Sanitorium History Walk. &nbsp;Your willingness to help will allow us to share Maybury&#39;s unique history with the community.&nbsp; This is one of our most popular events. Volunteers needed to help staff Friends of Maybury info table and help hike leaders pass out and collect visual aids during the hike. No experience needed. All volunteers can participate in the walk. No experience needed&mdash;we&rsquo;ll provide simple instructions and support.&nbsp; Date:&nbsp;Saturday, September 19th Time: Start time for volunteers is 9:30 am. &nbsp;The event begins at 10:00am. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and other preparation. Location:&nbsp;Maybury State Park, Eight Mile Entrance, Trailhead Building What to bring: Bug spray, sunscreen, water What to wear: Dress for the weather, this is a 100% outdoor event. Appropriate footwear is essential.&nbsp; Hazards: You may encounter uneven surfaces with water or mud. Bugs such as ticks and mosquitos are prevalent. Weather Cancelation:&nbsp;This event will run rain or shine but could be canceled if severe weather is forecasted &nbsp;Volunteers will be notified of any weather-related changes via email and/or text. We are counting on you being there. &nbsp;If you register and find that you can no longer volunteer please reach out to us ASAP so we can replace you with another volunteer.
