Volunteers are needed to help check-in participants at the event. Volunteers will be provided a check-in link via email and will use their personal cell phone to check-in participants before the start of the event. Volunteers may then participate in the event if they desire.&nbsp; Volunteers are needed at 9:30 am and should plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and other hike preparation. See below for complete event description: Join the Northville Tree Champions and the Friends of Maybury State Park for a guided walk to learn about and inspire a greater appreciation for the tress growing around us. The walk will cover basic tree and plant botany and identication. This event is free, however a recreation passport is required for park entry. Volunteers are needed at 9:30 am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to allow time for parking and check-in.&nbsp;Location:&nbsp;Maybury State Park, Beck Road Entrance, Equestrian Staging area.Event Description:&nbsp;We will walk approximately 1 - 1 1/2 miles over natural surface trails. &nbsp;Volunteers may participate in the walk or leave after everyone departs for the walk.Enchroma Glasses:&nbsp; will be available during this event. These glasses enable those with color blindness to experience a broader spectrum of clear, vibrant, distinct color.&nbsp;Hazards: You may encounter uneven surfaces with mud or water. Bugs such as ticks and mosquitos are prevalent.What to bring:&nbsp;Bug spray, sunscreen and water.What to wear: Dress for the weather, this event is 100% outdoors. Appropriate footwear is essential. You may encounter uneven surfaces with mud or water. Recommend hat and light colored long pants and shirt.Weather Cancelation:&nbsp;Event will happen rain or shine but could be canceled in the event of severe weather.
