Full members, please contact Jennifer at wip.peoples.alliance@gmail.com to pay your August annual membership dues and update your member file. This will ensure you receive your new or renewed identification card. Both annual and monthly payment options are available. The resolution from 2013 is below. A RESOLUTION OF THE WACCAMAW TRIBAL COUNCIL Resolution: DH-05-03-2013-001 Subject: Membership Fees Be It Resolved by a majority vote of the Waccamaw Governing Council that the Waccamaw Indian People have a monthly membership fee for all tribal members. Whereas: the Waccamaw Indian People have a financial obligation to pay its bills and debts; and Whereas: the Waccamaw Indian People have a large membership base with little or no opportunity to take part in or support the tribe; and Whereas: membership in the Waccamaw Indian People is a privilege and not a right; and Whereas: a monthly membership fee of five dollars should not be a great hardship for the majority of the tribal membership. Be It Resolved That: The Waccamaw Indian People shall institute a five dollar per month membership fee for all its voting members; and Be It Resolved That: the fee is payable in any manner and/or period acceptable to tribal council; and Be It Resolved That: failure to keep the membership current in accordance with the resolutions and ordinances provided by Tribal Council shall prevent the member from renewing his or her Tribal ID, with all the resulting consequences of failing to renew the Tribal Id, as outlined in DH-08-03-2012-001; and Be It Resolved That: the Tribal Council reserves the right to waive the membership fee in any case where it deems the fee creates an undue hardship; and Be It Resolved That: this resolution goes into effect on August 1st, 2013; and  Be It Resolved That: This resolution remain a living document so that changes can be made as necessary by Tribal Council.
