After surviving a heart attack at the Portland Dragon Boat Festival in 2019, DragonMax paddler Gary Young donated to DragonSports a lovely Merlin carbon fibre paddle embossed with a Wasabi logo. The paddle is unsized and he can help the winner with sizing and attaching the handle. After contemplating the best way to distribute the paddle and pay it forward, DragonSports is sponsoring a raffle with the proceeds to be used to purchase an AED for the Portland Dragon Boat Festival. The winner will be announced on Sunday, just after the lunch break.
