Meet Your Panelists:  Tim Friedlander (NAVA) Tim Friedlander is a voice actor, musician, educator, and studio owner based in Los Angeles, known for his talent and advocacy on behalf of the creative industry.  As the president and co-founder of the National Association of Voice Actors (NAVA), and one of the co-founders of the new Creators Coalition on AI (CCAI), Tim has tirelessly championed for artists' rights around the globe.  As a voice actor, Tim is known for his work on titles such as "Hunter x Hunter," "One Punch Man," and his portrayal of Long Caster in "Ace Combat 7." His performance as the English voice of Ares in the Netflix series "Record of Ragnarok" and as the English Voice of “Daigo Dojima” in the new Like A Dragon video game series have garnered attention and awards.   As founder of the soundBOX:Studio Group, Tim operates out of his studio, soundBOX:LA and has strived to create studio environments that are safe, inspiring, and professional.  With three locations in Los Angeles and one in Boston, his team has been a resource for voice actors for almost a decade. Tim has been quoted in such outlets as the LA Times, WIRED, the NY Times, and the BBC and has presented to the UN Emerging Tech Committee, the FTC, and participated in the 2024 AI Summit on Deepfakes at the White House hosted by the NSA. His work in advocacy has taken him to Capitol Hill for over 100 meetings with lawmakers fighting for the rights of all Americans to own their voice, image, name, and likeness on a federal level.   Represented by Atlas Talent in Los Angeles and New York, as well as ACM Talent Management in LA and New York, Tim is a driving force in the creative industry, leaving an indelible mark with his talent, passion, and dedication.  Emma O'Neill:   Emma O'Neill is a voice actor who's spent years getting paid to talk into a microphone, which, if you'd met her at age seven, tracks completely.  She's also the President of CAVA, a yoga teacher who genuinely believes in the power of a good exhale, and a voice performance coach and mentor who loves nothing more than watching someone else nail the take they didn't think they had in them.  Ask anyone who knows her: she's an extroverted introvert, meaning she'll happily run a room full of people and then need a solid 45 minutes of silence, alone in a dark room to recover. Emma lives and works in Toronto with her wife, Elana. Memo Sauceda Memo Sauceda is an accomplished voiceover and on-camera talent, recognized for his work in Commercials, Dubbing, and Promos. He hosted several shows for Telemundo, including Edición Especial and Ay Caramba, earning three Emmy Awards. Deeply committed to the voiceover community, Memo serves on multiple SAG-AFTRA committees, is Treasurer of WOVO, and President of LAVA (Latin Association of Voice Actors)—where he actively advocates for fair practices and supports fellow voice artists across the industry. He is also a three-time SOVAS Award winner, and never travels without his mobile recording gear, as he inevitably ends up recording no matter where he is. Simon Kennedy As a graduate of the prestigious Australian Film Television and Radio School in 1996, Simon Kennedy is the 2023 Winner of the SOVAS Voice Arts Award Best Voice Actor, Outstanding Body of Work – International, and 2024 Best Voice Actor, Outstanding Body - and his career has many faces. Simon started as a radio announcer, progressing to Head of Creative Imaging for a national radio network. He then left radio to forge a 25-year-long career in voice acting, acting, and stand-up comedy, appearing on countless TV shows.
