LXCL:Our aim is to make music education accessible for everyone! Please consider your economic status and if you are able to pay more, you are not only paying for your admission to class, but you are also making it possible for someone with less economic wealth to experience this class and any extra funds go right back into our youth programming.

Ready to take your music further? Already know the basics of Ableton Live but want to go deeper? Join us for a 4-week intermediate workshop and sharpen your skills in recording and mixing. Building on the fundamentals, this session dives into the techniques that take a good track and make it great.&nbsp; After 4 weeks, you will have hands-on experience with:<ul fr-original-style="text-align: start;" style="text-align: start; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Advanced recording workflows and techniques, including correct microphone placement.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Layering and arranging multi-track productions with intention</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Mixing techniques, including EQ, compression, reverb, spatial effects, and automation (modulating these parameters to fine-tune your sound)</li></ul>📅 Wednesdays, October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th | 6:30&ndash;9:00 PM📍 The Storehouse Lofts, Alameda💰 Sliding scale: $250&ndash;$500 Workshop Goals<ul fr-original-style="text-align: start;" style="text-align: start; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">At least 1 fully mixed and polished track</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Deepen your ear for sound and production quality</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Get and give feedback in a collaborative group setting</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Build a mixing and recording workflow you can take home</li></ul>Experience with Ableton Live or a DAW required &mdash; this workshop picks up where the intro session left off. Taught byRJ Wilks is a musician, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, BAMP Studio Manager, and Teaching Artist that has been interested in making music since they were a kid, from playing drums in the middle school jazz band to producing and performing ambient and experimental electronic music, to writing songs and performing in a country/bluegrass/folk band, RJ has explored many corners of music making! They&#39;re excited to demystify Ableton and can&#39;t wait to meet you all! Diana L&oacute;pez is a songwriter, music producer and Teaching Artist who loves working with Ableton Live. Her musical path began as a child, when she became curious about the piano. Over the years, she&#39;s studied music in areas such as piano, singing, theory, audio production and recording, and has explored performing live with various groups. Inspired by her own journey, she is passionate about helping students feel confident making music, whether they&rsquo;re just starting out or building their skills. They are looking forward to creating an environment for students that is supportive and focused on creativity, expression, and fun while learning!
