Dear Prospective Board Member,
We are inviting passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Volunteer Board of Directors and become part of a movement dedicated to encouraging more women to discover, enjoy, and play the game of golf.
Our mission goes beyond golf.
We believe golf can provide women with opportunities for friendship, confidence, networking, personal growth, stress relief, and improved mental well-being. We want to create an environment where women feel welcome, supported, and empowered to participate in a sport and community where women have historically been underrepresented.
This Is a Mission, not a Profit Opportunity
Our Board positions are unpaid volunteer positions. We are looking for individuals who want to contribute their time, talents, relationships, ideas, and resources because they believe in what we are building.
The reward is not financial profit. The reward is the opportunity to watch women become more confident, connected, active, and passionate about golf—and to know that you helped make that possible.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking Board Members who are willing to actively participate in the affairs of the club and help us grow our organization.
Board Members may be asked to assist with areas such as:
- Community outreach and membership development/ Quarterly discussion meetings
- Sponsorship and fundraising
- Identifying and securing donations
- Building relationships with businesses and community organizations
- Planning golf events, scrambles, clinics, and social activities
- Promoting women's participation in golf
- Supporting our mental wellness mission
- Marketing, social media, and public relations
- Volunteer recruitment
- Financial and administrative support
- Governmental registrations and organizational requirements
- Developing partnerships that can help advance our mission
Each Board Member will be encouraged to use his or her individual talents, professional relationships, community connections, and resources to help move the organization forward.
Active Participation Requirement
Because an effective Board requires active involvement, each Board Member must remain actively engaged in the affairs and activities of the club for a minimum of seven (7) months during each calendar year.
Active participation may include attending Board meetings, assisting with events, participating in fundraising and outreach efforts, supporting club programs, or completing assigned responsibilities.
Failure to maintain the required level of participation may result in review /removal of Board membership.
What We Offer Our Board Members
Although our Board positions are unpaid, Board Members will have the opportunity to:
- Be part of a growing movement supporting women in golf
- Help create meaningful opportunities for women to participate in the game
- Build relationships with other women, golfers, businesses, and community leaders
- Participate in club scrambles and golf activities
- Attend clinics and educational opportunities at cost when available
- Contribute ideas and help shape the future direction of the club
- Take pride in creating greater access and visibility for women in golf
- Support a mission that connects golf with confidence, community, and mental wellness
Board Member Contribution
To help support the initial development and operation of the organization—including organizational expenses, governmental registrations, administrative requirements, programming, outreach, and other mission-related costs—we are requesting that each new Board Member make a voluntary contribution of $150–$300.
This contribution is intended to help provide the foundation needed to move our mission forward.
The contribution is not compensation for serving on the Board and does not guarantee any financial return or profit.
Any separate club initiation or membership fees, if applicable, will be communicated clearly before membership is finalized.
Our Vision: We envision a community where women of all backgrounds and skill levels feel comfortable stepping onto the golf course.
Whether a woman is picking up a club for the first time, returning to the game, or already loves golf, we want her to know that there is a place for her here.
We want to use golf as a platform to build confidence, friendships, leadership, healthy social connections, and positive mental well-being.
We Are Looking for Women Who Want to Be Part of Something Bigger.
If you believe in our mission and are willing to give your time, energy, connections, ideas, and support, we invite you to consider joining our Board.
Together, we can help more women not only learn to play golf but learn to love the game—and find strength, confidence, community, and joy through it.
Join us. Support the mission. Help us open the door for the next generation of women in golf.
Sincerely,
Carole Glushien & Melanie Kafka
