On Friday, November 13th, historian Trent Taylor will explore the Irish Donation of 1676 and how this mass humanitarian relief effort strengthened the Irish-New England connections in the Puritan world. His talk will shine a light on a forgotten but fascinating tale of 17th century transatlantic philanthropy which was reciprocated in 1847 when Captain Robert Forbes arrived in Cork with a ship full of provisions to provide relief during the Great Famine.&nbsp; This enlightening talk will be accompanied by a dram of Irish whiskey and tastes of Ireland.
