WHEN SURVIVAL STOPS WORKINGThe Choices That Change Who We Become What happens when the very things that helped us survive begin holding us back? Join Women In Business for a special luncheon featuring Christie Ransom, President and CEO of the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce. In When Survival Stops Working, Christie takes audiences through a deeply personal, surprisingly relatable, and ultimately uplifting exploration of the patterns we build to get through difficult seasons—and what happens when we realize those patterns no longer serve the person, leader, or life we are becoming. Through storytelling, humor, audience reflection, and real conversation, Christie explores why high-capacity people can become incredibly good at functioning while quietly running on survival. She challenges us to look at what we have normalized, what we have outgrown, and where familiar may have been mistaken for healthy. You'll leave with an opportunity to:

Recognize when survival patterns have become barriers to growth

Understand how difficult seasons can shape some of our greatest strengths

Explore the difference between being highly functional and truly fulfilled

Examine the choices, habits, and environments we may have outgrown

Lead with greater presence, empathy, connection, and intention

Rebuild trust in ourselves through small choices and consistent follow-through

Move from simply getting through life to intentionally creating a meaningful one

ABOUT CHRISTIEChristie Ransom is President and CEO of the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce and an experienced leader, entrepreneur, and former coach.
